US Air and American?

Who in the world thinks that US Air and American merger is a good idea?

Fact:
  • American ate TWA and stapled their young to the bottom of the list.
  • Not Nice Boys!

Fact:
  • UsAir didn't like what came down the path with America West, and decided to pull from the union.
  • Not playing if things don't go your way?

Reality:

I'm just sayin... combing these two groups of pilots together is like asking the Joker to play nice with Batman. Some things just don't work. And whatever happens to American and USAir, they probably deserve. Everything that goes around, comes around.
Don't ya think?

Love to hear your thoughts on the subject...Maybe someone should beat the stupid out of all of them.

  1. I think your right too many mergers cuts down on choice I have heard that US air have pretty awful customer service . All I can say is that I am glad there still airlines Virgin America who do things differently and seem to put the customer first I am flying with them in July so will find out myself

    1. It's amazing how customer service is reduced by the attitude of the employees. And Virgin, they know how to do their service right. You're going to have an excellent flight. Enjoy the Virgin experience.

  2. One of the most important issues when the merger doesn't run smoothly and employees are not happy with the outcome is diminished safety. Pilots need to work together as a team. If they can't play on the same team... the passengers pay.

  3. The sad part about it is that customers, employees as industry are the one to suffer... Could you girls tell me when aviation stopped from being a romantic way of life for those who live it everyday??? And became a monopoly Game? I just wish the few of us left that believe we are working only when we are on ground because the rest we fly and we get paid for our most beloved hobby stay strong on this and never give up our dream of an industry we all deserve... 1. Ahhh... thank you for the hugs from Nairobi. For me, the romance is still there. I will always kiss the sky, dance with the clouds and become aroused with the smell of jet fuel.
For those who play monopoly with us... shame on them! Hugs from L.A.

    1. Thank you. Working hard on my awesomeness. Yes... what goes, comes and then some. As we are watching now in the world. Looking for balance so we don't tip off the axis. Stay dry!

  5. I can't see two more different companies, and honestly I think people pushing a merger between the two are smoking something. Seriously.

Now if AA can come out of bankruptcy and try and merge with Hawaiian, it'll give them a good push into Asia (where I think Delta and Continental - now United - have an advantage).

But nobody be touchin' my Alaska Airlines!

    1. Seriously, I think they were smoking. And blowing smoke up everyone's skirts thinking this will work.

Not sure if AA will do anything for Hawaiian... other than try to staple them. Seriously, I'm betting on Delta buying Hawaiian. AA would take them down. And sorry to say, I suspect DAL will buy your Alaska one day too. But we can only hope AS will stay and fly strong
